Inspection and Auditing

While equipment is installed and operating, Qwinstar assists customers in assessing the condition and completeness of their IBM or NCR equipment. This inspection includes all aspects of the physical condition of the unit from the Power Frame to the Stacker Modules. Qwinstar engineers will operate the equipment in a test mode and provide an evaluation of its operational characteristics. Qwinstar can also audit systems. The audit provides a written record of the completeness and condition of a document processor. This includes operational components, results of diagnostic tests, documentation and machine dependent tool kits.

Refurbishment Services

The Qwinstar refurbishment process is the best in the industry. Each machine is first stripped down to the frame and thoroughly cleaned. During reassembly all components are closely inspected for wear or end-of life and are replaced as necessary. All acoustical foam, transport belts and air tubing are also replaced. The machines are then staged and tested for proper function and adjusted per manufacturer specifications. Finally the machines are painted in either factory or custom colors, at which time all body work such as dents and scratches are repaired. This process leaves the machine in like new condition and greatly reduces the amount of down time. Many customers have confused a Qwinstar refurbished machine for new.
